Windows

Installation · Replacement · Repair

A window is 20% glass and 80% the opening it sits in. We get the opening right.

New openings, full replacements and repairs to frames, hardware, seals and flashing — for houses, condos, acreages and commercial buildings.

What this covers

Installation

New openings in existing walls, new builds, additions and basement egress. Structural header sizing confirmed before anything is cut.

Replacement

Insert or full-frame, chosen after we inspect the sill and perimeter — not chosen for you by what we stock.

Repair

Cranks and operators, hinges, rollers, weatherstrip, rotten sills, failed caulking and leak diagnosis.

Residential and commercial

Residential

Detached homes, condos, townhouses, acreages and cabins.

Commercial

Offices, retail units, restaurants and small industrial — including thermally broken aluminium storefront glazing.

Window styles we install

Every style below is something we have fitted in this market. If you are not sure which suits the opening, send a photo and we will tell you what will actually work - and what it will cost to run.

Casement Residential

Side-hinged and crank-operated. The tightest seal of any operating window, which is why we specify it most often on exposed elevations.

Awning Residential

Hinged at the top and opening outward, so it can stay open in rain. Ideal above kitchen counters and in bathrooms.

Single & Double Hung Residential

Sashes that slide vertically. A traditional look that suits older Cochrane and inner-city Calgary homes.

Horizontal Slider Both

One or both sashes glide sideways. No projection into a walkway, which makes it the practical choice in tight side yards.

Picture / Fixed Both

A fixed pane with no hardware — maximum glass, maximum view, best thermal performance. Often paired with casements either side.

Bay Residential

Three units angled to project out from the wall, adding floor area and light. Needs proper head flashing and an insulated seat, which is where most bays fail.

Bow Residential

Four or more equal units in a gentle curve. A softer, wider projection than a bay and a strong feature on a front elevation.

Garden Residential

A glazed box with a sloped glass roof and shelving — a small greenhouse over the kitchen sink.

Basement / Egress Residential

Code-compliant escape openings for basement bedrooms, including cutting the concrete and setting the window well.

Tilt & Turn Both

European dual action — tilts in at the top for secure ventilation, or swings fully open for cleaning and escape.

Specialty Shapes Both

Arched, half-round, circular, octagonal, trapezoid and gable units, made to the exact opening rather than trimmed to fit.

Storefront Glazing Commercial

Thermally broken aluminium curtain wall and storefront systems, with tempered glass where code requires it.

What we get called out for

  • Fog, haze or moisture trapped between the panes
  • A draft you can feel with your hand in January
  • Water staining below the window after wind-driven rain
  • Rotten, soft or swollen sill and frame timber
  • Snapped crank, seized operator, sash that will not latch
  • Windows painted shut or sagging out of square
  • Adding a window where there never was one
  • Basement bedroom needing a code-compliant egress window

How we do it

  1. Inspect the opening, sill, flashing and perimeter before quoting anything
  2. Confirm structural sizing, then frame and square the rough opening
  3. Protect floors and furniture, and contain dust at the opening
  4. Set the unit on a sloped sill pan and shim only at the fixing points
  5. Flash and tape in the correct shingle order, then air-seal and insulate
  6. Re-trim inside and out, then water-test everything we sealed
Typical investment
Repairs from $180. Insert replacement from $700 per window. Full-frame from $1,200. New openings from $850 plus structural.
Indicative only. Your written quote is fixed before work starts.
Typical timeline
Repairs same or next day. Two to five replacements per day — most homes finished in one.
We confirm dates in writing and turn up on them.
