How we do it

Make the opening safe first — board-up the same day if the building is exposed

Measure the sealed unit and confirm glazing type, spacer and thickness

Order the correct unit: low-E, argon, tempered or laminated as code requires

Remove the old glazing cleanly without damaging the sash or frame

Set the new unit on fresh tape and beads, then re-seal the exterior

Check the weep holes and sill drainage so the new unit does not fail early
